Community programs have been set by Lansdale Historical Society for the following dates.
On Tuesday, March 14, we’ll present “Deep Dive: Origins of Some Iconic Buildings” to discover the history behind some of our local favorite places. Featured will be the early days of Hotel Tremont, Music Hall, William Penn Inn, West Point Amusement Park, and the history of Henning’s Trains.
Then, on Thursday, May 11, the topic will be “Montgomery County in the Revolutionary War,” featuring Michael Jesberger, historical reenactor, lecturer, and tour guide. He will present an informative program about common soldiers who fought in the American Revolution and the various incidents that took place in Montgomery County and surrounding Philadelphia region.
Both programs start at 7 p.m. at Lansdale Borough Hall. There is no admission charge, but donations are appreciated.
