Man Previously Accused of Assaulting Man with Pipe Arrested Again on New Assault Charges While on Bail

A Montgomery Township man is in county jail after he allegedly assaulted a man while out on bail on aggravated assault charges stemming from a prior incident in June 2022.

David Myslinski, 31, was arrested on Feb. 20 on a misdemeanor assault charge along with a summary count of harassment, court records show. He’s currently in custody at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the township at 10:54 a.m. on Feb. 20 for a report of an assault victim. Arriving officers spoke to the victim, which had a 1.5-inch gash above his left eye, which was actively bleeding, police said.

Police said the victim had gotten into an argument with Myslinski, at which point Myslinski attacked the victim and chased him down. Myslinski allegedly grabbed and shoved the victim repeatedly into a wall, causing injury to the victim’s head, police said.

The victim eventually broke free and dialed 9-1-1, according to charging documents.

Myslinski was taken into custody, and subsequently arraigned later that afternoon. His next court appearance on the current charges is a preliminary hearing on March 21 at 1:45 p.m. in front of District Judge Andrea Duffy.

At the time of the incident, Myslinski was on $25,000 unsecured bail stemming from an aggravated assault arrest that occurred in Hatfield Township in June 2022. In that incident, Myslinski allegedly headbutted and swung a pipe at his then-upstairs neighbor, causing injuries to the victim’s face, head and forearm, according to police.

As a result of the June 2022 incident, Myslinski was charged with aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault, possession of drug paraphernalia and related offenses. Court records show he was initially scheduled for a preliminary hearing on the charges on July 12, 2022, however that hearing was continued five times, with the court calendar showing its now scheduled for March 21 at 11 a.m., several hours prior to his hearing on the new charges.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.
