Man Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident on Limekiln Pike in Hilltown Township

First responders are at the scene of a single vehicle crash with injuries near the intersection of Limekiln Pike and Township Line Road in Hilltown Township.

Police were dispatched to the scene just before 3:30 p.m. for a report of a single vehicle crash. Arriving personnel found a gray sedan that had struck a tree with the driver trapped inside.

Crews from Hilltown Fire Company worked to free the man, who was then transported from the scene with unknown injuries. Police at the scene told North Penn Now that it appeared the vehicle had run into a ditch on Limekiln Pike and then struck the tree near the intersection.

The driver is described as a young, adult male, according to sources at the scene.

Police currently remain on scene and Limekiln Pike has been closed. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
