Hilltown Police Place ‘Bounty’ on the ‘Muffin Man’ for Retail Theft from Giant Food Store

Hilltown Township Police have placed a “bounty” on the “Muffin Man” for allegedly stealing nearly $500 dollars in groceries — including Entenmann’s muffins — from the Giant Food Store in the Hilltown Plaza Shopping Center.

Police said the theft occurred on June 14 at 8:15 a.m. The suspect entered the store, loaded a shopping cart with items, concealed some of the items in plastic bags, then placed a large pack of Bounty paper towels across the cart and exited the store without paying.

The total value of the stolen merchandise was $497.10, police said. The suspect was described as having a full sleeve of tattoos on his right arm, and he was seen leaving the store in a small, dark-colored SUV.

Anyone with information about the suspect or his whereabouts is asked to contact the Hilltown Township Police Department at 215-453-6000. Tips can be submitted electronically and anonymously here.

As for the reward for the “bounty?” “A job well done and a high five,” police said.
