A Souderton woman was recognized by Towamencin Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution for her service with a non-profit that works to end homelessness for single mothers and their children in Bucks and Montgomery counties.
Doreen Hespell Slotter has been involved with Bridge of Hope Buxmont since 2005 in a number of capacities including mentor, donor, volunteer, board member, and board vice chair. Bridge of Hope is a fully donor-funded non-profit organization. Doreen’s caring involvement has impacted the women and children that Bridge of Hope serves, and she is passionate about creating opportunities for those families.
Towamencin Chapter DAR presented Doreen with its Community Service Award at their June meeting, along with gift cards for use by Bridge of Hope donated by chapter members.
