Firefighter’s Battling Two-Alarm Blaze at Auto Parts Shop on Bethlehem Pike in Hilltown Township

Area fire companies are currently battling a two-alarm blaze at an auto parts shop along the 1800 block of Bethlehem Pike in Hilltown Township.

First responders were dispatched to the scene around 3 p.m. for a report of a building fire. Arriving crews encountered a fully involved building fire at Barney’s Auto Parts, and one source described the location as a 50-foot by 70-foot warehouse.

A second alarm was called shortly after crews arrived, and smoke from the scene was visible several miles away. It’s unclear if there are any reported injuries, however Montgomery County dispatch shows EMS units being dispatched to the scene.

Bethlehem Pike is currently closed as crews continue to battle the blaze. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
