Lansdale’s seventh annual Pride Walk was held on Sunday afternoon, drawing hundreds of attendees into the borough for an afternoon of celebration and inclusion.
The walk began at noon at Railroad Plaza, pushing down West Main Street before crossing at Cannon Avenue and marching to Memorial Park, where a “Pride in the Park” event had been scheduled to follow including LGBTQ+ vendors, a DJ, food trucks, bounce houses, and Drag Storytime with Lansdale drag queen Annie Christ.
All proceeds and donations made on the day of the event will be donated to the Eastern Pennsylvania Trans Equity Project, according to the event organizers.
“Thank you all for celebrating the promise of a better tomorrow through love,” said the Montgomery County LGBT Business Council, who helped plan the event. “We genuinely hope that everyone had a wonderful time and made lasting connections. Thank you for sharing your stories with us and allowing us to be a part of today’s story. Whether it was your first pride, or first time with us, we are glad you joined us!”
Many local elected officials also attended the event, including Lansdale Mayor Garry Herbert, state Rep. Steve Malagari, state Sen. Maria Collett, and Lansdale Councilman BJ Breish — who was kind enough to allow us to use his photos for our coverage. Check out his gallery below.
