Summer flowers are in bloom, and you can enjoy them in all their glory at several of the borough’s finest gardens this weekend.
On Saturday, June 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, the Second Annual Lansdale Open Gardens Tour will take place. The first of two 2023 tours will focus on fabulous florals and showcase stunning public and private flower gardens across Lansdale. A second tour focused on late blooms will be held later this year.
This is a free, open house style tour with no set itinerary. Visitors can pop in and out of the gardens all day. Gardens on the tour will be open from 10-4, with homeowners on site to answer any questions and show off their hard work.
A list of participating gardens will be posted online on Friday, June 9
on Facebook at www.facebook.com/LansdaleOpenGardensDay, or you can stop by Whites Road Park (near the pool) the morning of the event to get a printed list. Garden Tour volunteers will be on hand at the park from 9:30-11:30 Saturday.
The Lansdale Open Gardens Day Tour is partnering with Manna on Main Street, and while this is a free community event, visitors are encouraged to bring along packaged foods to deposit in boxes at Whites Road park and marked gardens along the tour as the "price of admission.”
