Lansdale Pride Walk Scheduled for June 11

The seventh-annual Lansdale Pride Walk has been scheduled for June 11, with staging occurring at Railroad Plaza and a Pride in the Park event to follow at Memorial Park.

Participants are asked to gather at the intersection of West Main and Madison streets between 11:30 a.m. and noon, before the walk pushes off down West Main Street towards Cannon Avenue. From there, walkers will cross to West Main Street and resume the walk eastbound to Memorial Park.

The Pride in the Park event is set to begin at 1 p.m. and will include LGBTQ+ vendors, a DJ, food trucks, bounce houses, and Drag Storytime with Lansdale drag queen Annie Christ. Organizers said the event should conclude around 4 p.m.

The event is free to the public and is pet friendly. All proceeds and donations made on the day of the event will be donated to the Eastern Pennsylvania Trans Equity Project, according to the event organizers.

“It’s important that we continue to stand together for equality, equity, diversity, and Inclusion for all members of our communities,” said the organizers, on the Facebook event page. “Thank you for celebrating our differences and walking alongside friends, family, and new friends yet to be made.”
