A Lansdale Catholic alum is headed back to her school, this time as its new president.
Meghan Lister Callen, a 1996 Lansdale Catholic graduate, has been named the next president of the Lansdale high school, effective July 1, announced Friday by the school on its Facebook page.
Callen, a 2000 Penn State graduate who holds a bachelor’s in journalism and minor in history, was formerly Director of Admissions and Social Media Coordinator for Lansdale Catholic, landing both jobs in 2017.
Since 2008, Callen was the Director of Admissions and Director of Communications at Pope John Paul II High School.
According to Lansdale Catholic, Callen, who received a master’s in professional studies in the Psychology of Leadership and a certification in the fundamentals of fundraising from Villanova University, held administrative roles for nearly 20 years at Archbishop Ryan High School and other Catholic schools.
The appointment was announced by Archbishop Nelson J. Perez, who approved the recommendation made by the Office of Catholic Education, Lansdale Catholic administration, and the Board of Limited Jurisdiction, per the post.
Callen will replace current president James Casey, who spent a combined 33 years with the high school in various roles and recently announced his retirement at the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
