Lansdale Man Back in Jail After Burglarizing Massage Studio on Main Street, Police Say

A Lansdale man is back in custody at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after he allegedly stole a large amount of money while burglarizing a local business on West Main Street.

Timothy Glackin, 33, has been charged with felony counts of burglary, theft, criminal trespassing, and attempted theft in connection with the investigation. He’s currently being held at the county jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail along with a probation detainer.

Police were alerted to the incident around 11 a.m. on May 25 when the owner of the Massage Wellness and Beyond studio along the 700 block of West Main Street called to report a burglary. Surveillance footage showed a white male suspect — later identified as Glackin — breaking into the studio through a window, and the business owner said a large sum of money had been stolen along with a computer and a cell phone, according to charging documents.

Glackin also allegedly attempted to enter a neighboring business — Rio Dulce Mexican Market — however he was unsuccessful, according to the criminal complaint.

Court records show Glackin was taken into custody the following day and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Margaret Hunsicker. His next court appearance is a preliminary hearing on June 7 at 11 a.m. in front of Magisterial District Judge Ed Levine.

Glackin was released from county jail in early March after being sentenced to time served and probation on charges of simple assault, possessing an instrument of crime, and trespassing, stemming from an August 2021 incident in Lansdale. In that incident, Glackin was accused of repeatedly stabbing a man with a pair of scissors, then taking off all his clothing and fleeing the sceneon foot down West Seventh Street.

Police described Glackin as rambling, and said he offered the unsolicited statement that he "woke up this morning and killed someone.” He was then transported to Lansdale Hospital for a mental health evaluation, according to the complaint.

Police said the victim of the stabbing was taken to Lansdale Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. He was later released.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.
