Well Crafted Beer Company will host a Hazy IPA celebration dubbed "Monger Fest 2023 Block Party” this Saturday, July 15. Activities are planned from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. outdoors and the party will continue inside the brewpub until 11 p.m. Madison Street will be blocked from Railroad Plaza to Wood Street for the street festival, which will include alcohol tents, food vendors, live music, yard games, artisans, and local businesses.
The beer company will release five variations of Monger, including a new Triple IPA and a New Zealand Nectaron-hopped version. Well Crafted will be serving cocktails, wine, ciders, and other nonalcoholic drinks indoors. Boardroom Spirits and Ten7 Brewing Company are also bringing their canned cocktails and additional beer options for the event.
Food trucks will include Philly-based Hoser’s Central Kitchen, Menagerie Foods from Warminster, Lansdale-based TUCKEDito, and Madd Sweets. Local businesses Arnold’s Way, Healthy Shack, and Liberty Vapor will also be open extra hours for the event. Plus, Lansdale's new El Limon will be serving their tacos and chips.
Entertainment will include live music from Starship Lovechild, a high energy, five-piece band delivering classic rock favorites and contemporary hits starting at 4 p.m. Additionally, Jordan White will play a fusion of alternative rock and acoustic-confessional pop-rock from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. inside the brewpub. Artisans from Headway Art Collective will be displaying their work for sale, and yard games and beer tables will be set up throughout the event.
Well Crafted suggests car share, carpool, train or walking to the event. Parking is available for free at the SEPTA Lansdale Parking Garage nearby. They recommend parking close to the third level and taking the sky bridge to the stairs or elevator.
Well Crafted started in homebrewing and began brewing commercially five years ago at 310 Madison Street in Lansdale. They were seeking additional capacity and opened a second brewery and taproom within Ambler Yards last year. In December 2022, Well Crafted was named Montgomery Countys Chamber of Commerce’s "Business of the Year” for their accomplishments in bringing job opportunities, manufacturing, community, arts, and for their charitable efforts in the community.
Hop Monger has grown to be a staple brand for the beer company and is now available in seven counties. New variations, Double Monger DIPA and Lil’ Monger Hazy Pale Ale, are growing regionally and have inspired Well Crafted to brew the two special beers for the block party: Triple Monger, a 10% Triple IPA, and Nectaron Monger, made with hops from New Zealand. All five Monger versions will be available at the fest, are double dry hopped for extra flavor and made in Lansdale.
