One Man Airlifted Following Wednesday Morning Crash on Bethlehem Pike, Police Investigating

Hatfield Township Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday morning on Bethlehem Pike that sent one man to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Bethlehem Pike and North Broad Street at 6:52 a.m. and involved a Honda CRV operated by a 28-year-old female and a motorized pedal-cycle operated by a 42-year-old male. The male was airlifted from the scene to a trauma center due to the extent of his injuries, however Hatfield Township Police Chief William Tierney described the injuries as non-life threatening.

Police said the roadway remained opened following the crash, and the scene was cleared at 7:36 a.m.

Hatfield Township Police were assisted at the scene by units from the Colmar Fire Company and VMSC Emergency Medical Services.
