Remains Of Missing Limerick Mother Found In Royersford, Authorities Say

The remains of missing Limerick mother Jennifer Brown, 43, have been found partially buried in a field behind a warehouse in Royersford near Fifth and Chestnut streets, authorities and CBS3 confirmed.

CBS3's Joe Holden announced on Twitter that Montgomery County Prosecutors confirmed they located Brown’s remains around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Police have not confirmed a suspect or arrest. Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele told the press that there is much more to the investigation. He told the press that Brown’s remains would be brought to the county coroners’ office to determine the manner of death.

"We hoped and prayed that she would be safe, and she is not,” Steele said at a Wednesday press conference. "Unfortunately, she was located out in Royersford and we’ve been able to confirm it has been her. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ms. Brown’s family and friends.”

Brown, of Stratford Court, was last seen by a friend and business associate Anthony "Blair” Watts-Richardson at 2 p.m. on Jan. 3.

Watts-Richardson, the owner of Birdie's Kitchen in neighboring Spring City, authorities said, was with Brown on the night prior to her disappearance and took her 8-year-old son to his house for a sleepover that night.

More than a week ago, Steele asked for public assistance in a mystery that involved a $15,000 reward from her family for information that assisted law enforcement in locating Brown. Last week, authorities searched the Pioneer Crossing Landfill in Birdsboro, Berks County for her remains.

Investigators said Brown was supposed to pick up her son from the school bus stop during the afternoon of Jan. 4, however she never showed up. Her vehicle was later found parked outside of her home with her car keys, wallet, purse, and work cellphone located inside.

Brown’s personal cellphone has not been located, however investigators said it has not been communicating since the morning of Jan. 4.

Brown’s aunt, Diane Brehm, told CBS Philadelphia at the time that Brown would not just disappear.

"Someone knows where my niece is, and please, please somebody speak up," Brehm told CBS Philadelphia. "We're begging for her, for her family, for her sons. Everybody that knows Jennifer knows this is not what she would do.”
