Hilltown Police Seek ID of Suspects Who Stole More Than 600 Gallons of Diesel Fuel from Wawa

Hilltown Township Police are seeking public assistance in identifying two suspects who combined to steal more than 600 gallons of diesel fuel from the Wawa located along the 300 block of Route 313.

According to police, the operator of a white flatbed-style truck illegally accessed the control unit of a diesel fuel pump at 7:45 a.m. on Jan. 11 and bypassed the pay system, stealing 342 gallons of diesel fuel. Then, at 9:10 a.m., the operator of a white Ford F150 pickup truck used the same pump, bypassed the pay system, and stole 261 gallons of diesel fuel.

Police said both trucks are equipped with aftermarket fuel tanks to store large amounts of diesel fuel. In total, 603 gallons of fuel were stolen, valued at $3,079.52.

It is believed that the operators of both trucks are connected and working together, police said.

Anyone with information about the thefts or who may recognize the vehicles is asked to contact Officer Adam Brannan at [email protected] or via phone at 215-453-6000 ext. 304. Tips can also be sent anonymously here.
