The North Penn School District (NPSD) recently launched the “Here Comes the Bus” app and website that allows families to monitor daily school bus transportation information, including where a specific bus is on its route.
The app is available for any NPSD family who utilizes district transportation. Parents can see where their student’s bus is on its daily route so children and parents can spend less time at bus stops in inclement weather, know when buses are delayed due to traffic, and more. The app also alerts families when a bus is approaching the bus stop.
NPSD began with a pilot program at Oak Park Elementary before launching the app to the whole district on Jan. 9.
“We are very excited to launch Here Comes the Bus for our North Penn families,” said Dennis Ryan, Director of Transportation. “The program will give families security and peace of mind as their student goes to school each day to know that they have arrived safely.”
Parents and guardians have received communication on how to sign up for Here Comes the Bus. For any questions, please contact your student’s school.
