First Watch to Officially Open Montgomeryville Location Jan. 9

Get the tastebuds watering – First Watch officially opens the doors to its new 3,850-square-foot breakfast and brunch Montgomeryville location on Monday, Jan. 9 at 7 a.m.

It is the fourth First Watch location in Montgomery County, located at 744 Bethlehem Pike at Vilsmeier Road, between Dunkin Donuts and Verizon. About 30 people have been hired at the location, according to a press release.

As part of its grand opening promotion, customers who dine-in during the first five days of business will get free coffee with their meal. Plus, the first 120 customers to visit the new restaurant will get a custom reusable travel mug.

During its pre-opening Friends & Family event, the Florida-based First Watch will collect donations to support Manna on Main Street.

“This beautiful new restaurant can seat more than 130 people and features a covered outdoor patio, with fresh ingredients and seasonal specialties to help customers feel refreshed in the New Year,” said Hunter Carpenter, of First Watch.

Robert Botelho, vice president of operations, said in the release that First Watch first began serving the county in 2016 with its Wynnewood location.

“During that time, we’ve seen how our customers feel right at home at First Watch in both the Montgomery County and in the surrounding Philadelphia communities we serve. We take great pride in expanding our brunch moments to more of our neighbors in Montgomeryville and growing with this hometown community. Whether you’re having Million Dollar Bacon for lunch or Avocado Toast for breakfast, we look forward to being your go-to spot for breakfast, brunch and lunch, for any occasion and for years to come,” he said.

The restaurant chain has more than 400 restaurants across 28 states and the Montgomeryville location is the 10th location in the Philadelphia region.

First Watch — a nautical term that refers to the very first shift of the day — will serve breakfast, brunch and lunch made-to-order, with fresh menu options, which also includes gluten-free and vegan fare.

According to its website, First Watch considers the morning “the best shift of the day.”

“Thats because come the crack of dawn, were slicing and juicing fresh fruit and vegetables and whipping up our French toast batter from scratch, just for you,” per its website.

A look at its menu shows a variety of fare that has something for everyone.

There is a juice bar section, with drinks juiced daily with all-natural ingredients, such as Cranberry Crush, Morning Meditation Fresh Juice, Kale Tonic Fresh Juice, and Purple Haze.

Brunch cocktails include mimosas, Bloody Marys, vodka kale tonic, and cinnamon toast cereal milk.

There are your usual waffles, pancakes, eggs and (candied) bacon, but also healthier options like avocado toast, superfoods bowls, granola bowls, and “power wraps.”

Customers can order classic Eggs Benedict, a BLT Benedict, smoked salmon Benedict, farmstead breakfast tacos, biscuits and turkey sausage gravy, or a variety of hash breakfast meals.

There are also omelettes, frittatas, and quinoa bowls.

Lunch options include superfood kale salad, chicken avocado chop salad, sweet honey pecan salad, Cobb salad, club sandwiches, BLTs, veggie burgers and more.

There is even a kid’s menu.

First Watch will be open 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
