Crews on Scene of Residential Fire in Lansdale Borough

Area fire companies are on the scene of a residential fire in Lansdale Borough.

Crews were initially dispatched to the unit block of West Third Street at 8:50 a.m. for a report of a residential fire. Arriving firefighters encountered heavy fire showing from the rear of the home, and it was later determined that the fire began in a rear bedroom.

No injuries were reported. The fire has since been placed under control.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown. 

Crews remain on scene at this time, and residents are asked to avoid the area.

Responding units include Lansdale Borough Police Department, Fairmount Fire Company, Hatfield Fire Company, Colmar Fire Company, North Penn Fire Company, Worcester Fire Company, and the Upper Gwynedd Fire Department.
