Harleysville Bride Sees Color for First Time at Disney World Fairy Tale Wedding

As if tying the knot in Walt Disney World was not magical enough, imagine it being the place where you see color for the very first time.

Kristin Robinson, of Harleysville, has been colorblind her whole life, according to a Walt Disney World blog. She suffers from deuteranopia, a genetic eye condition which prevents her from telling the difference between red and green and from seeing purple and pink, per the blog.

When Robinson heard about special glasses that would allow her to see the colors she cannot see, she wanted to don them in the most magical place on Earth, per the report.

According to Disney, Robinson, along with her husband Nick, were “elated when she saw the world and her groom illuminated in color for the first time.”

Robinson could sum it all up with one word – surreal.

“I’ve always dreamed of this,” she said.

To say colorblindness runs in her family is an understatement – her father and both of her brothers have the condition. They too joined in the reveal.
