A Bucks County Department of Corrections officer has been charged after an alleged off-duty incident.
Aliyou Kiadee, 35, of Philadelphia, was arrested Sunday after Warrington Township police were called to Easton Road for a report of a road-rage incident, authorities said.
Kiadee has worked at the Bucks County Correctional Facility since November 2021, according to county spokesperson James O’Malley.
Warrington Township Police said a motorist reported being cut off by a Hyundai sedan on Easton Road. The Hyundai’s driver, later identified as Kiadee, allegedly yelled at the motorist and then brandished a black handgun from the glove compartment.
The driver notified 911 and provided the Hyundai’s license plate, police said. Horsham Township officers ended up stopping the Hyundai at Easton and Horsham roads, authorities said.
Police stated they recovered a black semiautomatic handgun from the Hyundai.
Kiadee was arrested at the scene, police said.
Kiadee was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, and reckless endangerment. He was preliminarily arraigned Saturday night by on-call District Judge Mick Petrucci and released on unsecured bail.
The county had no comment on the charges against Kiadee, whose arrest became the second of a corrections officer in Bucks County this month. Corrections Officer Aaron Mayers, 25, of Doylestown Township, was arrested earlier this month and indicted last week for his alleged role in a New York City homicide.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
