Learn About the History of Christmas Cookies at Schwenkfelder Heritage Center Potluck Lunch

(The following information was provided by the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center.)

Enjoy learning about the tradition of Christmas Cookies that goes back centuries at the noontime Brown Bag Lecture Wednesday, December 13, at the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center in Pennsburg.

Admission to the program is to bring a favorite dish — and a copy of the recipe — to share as we further celebrate holiday traditions. A member of the Goschenhoppen Historians will make the presentation, "The History of Christmas Cookies," during lunch.

Please register for this brown bag program by emailing [email protected] or calling 215-679-3103. Due to the nature of the program this month, there will not be a Zoom option.

If you are not sure what to bring as your food contribution, feel free to bring something like crackers and cheese or ring bologna. If you like to cook and have a copy of Schwenkfelder Cookbook, try a recipe from that cookbook. Paper plates and silverware, coffee, and tea will be provided.

The Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center, which is the regional history museum for the Upper Perkiomen Valley, is open Tuesday through Sunday. Admission to visit exhibits or research in the library is free. For more information on upcoming programs and exhibits, visit schwenkfelder.org.
