Small Batch Kitchen in Lansdale Launches ‘Local Giveback’ Program

(The following information was provided by Small Batch Kitchen.)

Small Batch Kitchen was founded in 2014 with the goal of creating delicious, value-added products using locally grown ingredients. In 2019, they expanded by moving their production kitchen to West Main Street in Lansdale and opening a specialty food and gift market in the same building.

Small Batch Kitchen is all about building community around delicious, healthy, local food. They work with more than 50 local farms to source the produce for their products. As part of their mission, they are launching a Local Giveback Program. Customers will be able to choose from three local nonprofit organizations that help get nutritious food on the table of all who need it.

  • Garden of Health is committed to providing healthy, safe food for low-income families, including those with dietary restrictions, in Montgomery and Bucks Counties. As a food bank, they source fresh produce and foods free of the top eight allergens and distribute to food pantries, low-income senior housing, and local community groups. They also have an eight-acre farm in Hatfield where they grow some of the produce for their food bank.
  • Living Hope Farm is a certified Naturally Grown farm producing premium vegetables and products. They sell their items through a CSA model, where produce shares can be picked up at their market or at Small Batch Kitchen. Additionally, Living Hope Farm donates a portion of its fresh produce to local families in need through the “Farm to Family” program. Living Hope Farm partners with other local organizations to involve disabled adults and older children to complete various tasks on the farm as part of their therapy and engagement programs.
  • Manna on Main Street is committed to ending hunger in the North Penn region by providing food, fulfilling social service and education needs, and conducting community outreach. Through a food pantry and soup kitchen, emergency financial aid, counseling and referrals, and education opportunities, Manna on Main Street serves those in need with the hope “that everyone might be fed.”

By partnering with these non-profit organizations, Small Batch Kitchen hopes to help build an even stronger community in the Montgomery-Bucks area by helping to ensure that everyone has access to local, healthy, delicious food.

To participate in this program, visit Small Batch Kitchen’s location at 711 W Main Street, Suite 101, Lansdale, to shop in their market. You’ll find a variety of delicious local food products, like the full line of Small Batch Kitchen fruit spreads, infused sea salts, and fermented hot sauces. You’ll also be able to pick up pastured eggs, glass bottle milk, local nut butter, honey, coffee, and tea.

If you need a gift - there is a variety of handcrafted soaps, locally made jewelry, beautiful tea towels, and a variety of Pennsylvania-themed gifts.

At checkout, specify which non-profit organization you would like to support, and Small Batch Kitchen will donate 5% of the pre-tax sale amount to the organization of choice.

Small Batch Kitchen is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Follow their Facebook and Instagram pages for updates on new products and for more information on the program.
