Police Release ID of Victim of Fatal Bethlehem Pike Crash as Investigation Continues

Hatfield Township Police have released the identity of the motorcyclist that was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday night.

First responders were dispatched to the intersection of Bethlehem Pike and Township Line Road just after 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 26 for a report of a multi-vehicle crash with injuries and entrapment. The crash involved a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle — operated by 21-year-old Bryce Fisher, of Sellersville — and a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck, operated by a 66-year-old Souderton man, according to police.

Investigators said the driver of the pickup truck sustained a “severe closed leg injury” and was transported from the scene via ambulance to Grand View Hospital for treatment.

Fisher was airlifted from the scene to a trauma center in Philadelphia, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation as of Tuesday morning, and police have renewed their calls for any witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Officer William Summerfield of the Hatfield Township Police Department’s Highway Safety Unit at 215-855-0903 and reference case number 2023-17979. Tips can also be emailed to [email protected] or submitted anonymously here.

Hatfield Township Police were assisted at the scene by units from the Hilltown Township Police Department, Hatfield Fire Company, Colmar Fire Company, Perseverance Fire Company, and VMSC Emergency Medical Services.
