Police Investigating After Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Wawa Parking Lot on Bethlehem Pike

Hatfield Township Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian that occurred Wednesday afternoon at the Wawa along the 2400 block of Bethlehem Pike.

Police were dispatched to the intersection of Unionville and Bethlehem pikes at 2:23 p.m. on Aug. 30 for a report of a vehicle crash. Investigators said the crash occurred in the parking lot and involved a 2021 Ford F150, which was operated by a 65-year-old Philadelphia resident, and a 56-year-old female pedestrian.

The victim, identified as Kelly Boyd, formerly of Sellersville, was transported from the scene via ambulance to Grand View Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Police have not released any details regarding how the crash occurred, and the incident is currently under investigation.

The identity of the driver has not been released.
