State Rep. Steve Malagari will be hosting a free shredding event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Aug. 19 at Hatfield Elementary School.
Residents may bring up to three bags of documents containing personal information. Electronics, TVs, and monitors will not be accepted. The free event allows residents to declutter their homes and safely dispose of personal information in an environmentally friendly way, said Malagari.
“Shredding your personal documents is one of best ways to ensure that your confidential and sensitive information is properly disposed of, and your information is not used for malicious purposes,” Malagari said. “I invite and encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity and help keep our community safe and green.”
