Dogtown Rescue Receives Donation from Ocean State Job Lot Via ‘To the Rescue’ Program

A Hatfield-based dog rescue recently received a gift card from Ocean State Job Lot through its “To the Rescue” charitable program.

Dogtown Rescue was among the more than 190 animal welfare organizations in the northeast region that received a $1,500 Ocean State Job Lot “Crazy Deal” gift card. The gift card is used to purchase supplies like pet food, beds, toys and chews and cleaning supplies from an Ocean State Job Lot store.

“We're super grateful and we feel so blessed that they chose us,” said Jennifer Joseph, owner of Dogtown Rescue.

Ocean State Job Lot is a discount retail chain with 152 stores in New England, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Its third annual “To the Rescue” program donated to municipal shelters, wildlife centers, rehabilitation farms and nonprofit rescue organizations within a 20-minute driving distance to OSJL’s 152 stores across the region.

“Ocean State Job Lot’s Charitable Foundation, in partnership with our loyal customers, is committed to helping those in need, and that includes our furry and feathered friends in animal shelters and rescues,” said David Sarlitto, Executive Director at Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation, in a press release. “We’re proud to partner with and support these organizations and their efforts to heal, protect, and nurture the animals in each of the communities in which Ocean State Job Lot operates.”
