Cannoneers to Host Simultaneous Block Party, Cannoneers Day Events Next Month in Lansdale

The Cannoneers Sportsmen’s Club and Lansdale Cannoneers Youth Football and Cheer Association will host two events on Saturday, Sept. 16 from noon to 6 p.m. at Fifth Street Park to Mitchell Avenue in Lansdale Borough.

The Cannoneers Sportsmen’s Club will host its annual block party, and the Lansdale Cannoneers Youth Football and Cheer Association will host its second annual Cannoneers Day. Attendees can purchase tickets online or at the event. Tickets are $20 ahead of the event and will be $25 the day of the event. Children who are 10 and under or who wear a Cannoneers uniform are free to attend.

The proceeds will go toward both organizations.

“Events like these sponsor our organization and help us to pay for equipment, insurance, AEDs, medical kits, and field and gym rental space for our teams,” said Christi Laky, fundraising chair of the Lansdale Cannoneers Youth Football and Cheer Association.

On Canonneers Day, the Lansdale Cannoneers Youth Football and Cheer Association will be celebrating its 60th year as an organization. The event is a day when all of the teams play home football games and it’s the second year the association has been hosting it. Both events will have activities for kids, including sand art, face painting, and a moon bounce as well as food, ice cream and water ice.

“It's a fun day for the community,” said Laky. “They’re welcome to come and watch all the games and partake in the activities.”
