A Telford man was sentenced this week to a maximum 10 months – plus credit for 19 days served – in the Montgomery County jail for selling methamphetamine and crack cocaine to an undercover detective in 2020, according to Mainline Media News.
Zachary Taylor Gular, 29, of the 100 block of North Fourth Street, and who also resided on the 100 block of East Main Street in Lansdale, was sentenced by Judge Thomas M. DelRicci after he pleaded guilty to a felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, per the report.
Additional charges were dismissed against Gular, including dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities and possession with intent to deliver cocaine, per the report.
Police said the investigation began after Gular agreed via social media to sell the drugs to an undercover detective for $120.
The detective met Gular on May 19, 2020, at Telford Gardens apartment complex, where Gular approached the detective’s vehicle and handed the detective a roll of small plastic bags containing methamphetamine, per the report.
Another controlled buy was conducted on June 1, 2020, where Gular sold “what was believed to be methamphetamine” for $100 to the undercover detective, per the report. Gular told the undercover detective to come to his residence to make the purchase, where he handed the detective a small bag with a white substance, which turned out to be crack cocaine, per the report.
