Two more 7-Elevens were robbed at gunpoint Tuesday in Conshohocken and Roxborough, according to 6abc, and authorities are trying to determine if they are connected to the recent string of armed robberies targeting the convenience store’s locations across the region.
According to the report, a 7-Eleven on Fayette Street in Conshohocken was robbed around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, where two armed men demanded money from the employee. Then, a half hour later, the 7-Eleven on the 5600 block of Ridge Avenue in Roxborough was robbed at gunpoint, per the report.
The two robberies came one day after the FBI and local law enforcement announced a reward for information in identifying and locating three suspects who committed five armed robberies in 10 days across Bucks, Montgomery, and Delaware counties, police said, including the Horsham Road 7-Eleven in Montgomery Township.
Authorities said the five robberies took place between midnight at 2 a.m.
In each of the incidents, one suspect would guard the door while the other two robbers confronted a store employee, brandished a gun, made threats, and demanded money, police said. The robbers have also gone behind the front counter to intimidate or physically assault the employee and then take the money, according to police.
The subjects are described as three black males, and they have concealed their faces with masks and sunglasses and worn gloves, according to a description provided by investigators.
The dates and locations of the five prior 7-Eleven robberies include:
In the Montgomery Township incident, police responded at 12:07 a.m. to the 7-Eleven for a report of an armed robbery, where an employee told them he was approached by a man dressed in all black while in the back room.
The suspect pointed a black handgun at the employee and demanded he open the two registers, while a second suspect dressed in all black stood at the entrance as a lookout, police said.
After the robbery, both men fled on foot toward the rear of the store, according to police.
The first suspect in the Montgomery Township incident is described as a 20- to 30-year-old man, over 6 feet tall and heavyset. He was wearing a black ski mask, black hoodie, neon yellow gloves, black sweatpants with a white stripe on the side, and black sneakers with a white line that goes from heel to toe, police said.
The second suspect in the Montgomery Township incident is described as a 20- to 30-year-old man, 6 feet tall with an average build. The suspect was wearing a black mask and black hoodie with white triangle design and red writing underneath, according to police.
While officers investigated the robbery, they received a call stating a similar robbery had occurred an hour prior at the 7-Eleven in Upper Southampton, Bucks County, police said.
In the most recent robberies, only two of the armed robbers were present and participated, according to investigators.
The subjects are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on these robberies or these subjects is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or go to tips.fbi.gov. Footage from the Haverford robbery can be viewed below.
