Three months after Colmar Inn Tavern and Pizzeria at 102 Bethlehem Pike announced its closure, a new cheesesteak place has opened in its place with a new owner.
Colmar Cheesesteaks & Wings opened to the public on Monday with a full bar and grill, offering everything from Philly cheesesteaks, hot wings, and pizza, to strombolis, calzones, quesadillas, and salads.
Owner Keshaun Ram, who rents the space for his business, said he drew inspiration from his other location in Limerick,
Philly Cheesesteaks & Wings on West Ridge Pike, on how to open a new business so quickly.
Ram said he made sure to capitalize on the larger dining room and kitchen at the new Colmar location. "Upon securing the location, I was able to do a full buildout in the kitchen, redesigning the layout in a more streamlined and efficient manner, as well as installing a new point of sale,” Ram said.
In the dining room and bar area, Ram rearranged seating and tables to maximize space and comfort, he said.
"Additionally, I had Philly-derived art hand-painted, as well as Philly sports memorabilia displayed on the walls. I also threw in a new set of TVs,” he said.
The kitchen itself received a new fryer, new grill, new coolers, and oven. In the dining room and bar area, Ram installed new TVs and a new speaker system, and revamped the art on the walls.
"Just like our name says, our specialties are cheesesteaks and wings,” Ram said. "Yes, people are more than welcome to come in and enjoy the bar seating, dining room seating, or our outdoor seating.”
