Manna on Main Street’s 12th annual Race to End
Hunger will be held Saturday, April 29, including a variety of fun-filled activities
for people of all ages.
Manna’s Race to End Hunger includes professionally chip timed 10K and 5K races, as well as a Fun Run that is approximately one mile. The 10K and 5K start together at 8:15 a.m., with the Fun Run beginning immediately afterward at Knapp Elementary School in Lansdale. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate, as are people with strollers and dogs on leashes.
Nearly 400 local residents have already registered. Residents can register for the 10K, 5K and Fun Run by visiting mannaonmain.org/rteh. Onsite registration will be available at 7 a.m. on race day.
Volunteers for the race are still needed. To sign up as a race volunteer, visit mannaonmain.org/rteh.
For the second year in a row, Wawa will have its Community Care Vehicle on site serving complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, bottled water, and soft pretzels.
There will be face painting, balloon creations, and other family-friendly activities. The North Pennsmen Barbershop Chorus will sing the National Anthem. Dozens of community volunteers will support the race, including by cheering for participants on the racecourse.
Out of more than 60 race sponsors, the top sponsors are Penn Community Bank, PDC Machines, AMS Analytics, Brittany Pointe Estates Residents Association, CM3 Building Solutions, Foresite Capital, Independence Blue Cross, Merck, and W.B. Homes.
All proceeds from the race benefit Manna on Main Street, the North Penn area’s largest nonprofit working to end hunger, whose vision is “that everyone might be fed.”
Along with Advanced Living Communities, the North Penn YMCA, and The PEAK Center, Manna is a founding partner of North Penn Commons, located at 606 East Main Street in Lansdale.
