Freddy Hill, Merrymead Added to Pennsylvania’s ‘Pursue Your Scoops’ Ice Cream Trail

Pennsylvania’s tourism board and Department of Agriculture have teamed up to promote the local dairy industry with its “The Pursue Your Scoops Ice Cream Trail” – with Freddy Hill Farms in Towamencin and Merrymead Farm in Worcester Township landing on the trail.

Acccording to Montco.Today, both ice cream parlors and working dairy farms have taken the two top spots on the trail.

According to Visit PA, the partnership promotion includes a series of trails that cover eastern, western and south-central Pennsylvania with the purpose of highlighting family-run farm creameries that are a part of the commonwealth’s strong dairy industry.

Freddy Hill Farm offers not only a dairy store and ice cream, but also a family fun center featuring mini golf, driving range, and batting cages.

Merrymead Farm offers award-winning milk, more than 32 flavors of ice cream, and local goods like raw honey, homemade jellies, Asher’s Candy and more. You can tour the farm and visit its animals, and Merrymead holds numerous events throughout the year.
