The Montgomery Township Board of Supervisors has allocated $100,000 to the Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale (VMSC). The funding will allow VMSC to continue providing high-quality EMS services to our community.
VMSC is grateful to the Montgomery Township Board of Supervisors for their ongoing support.
"This funding will enable VMSC to continue to expand our clinical capabilities and help achieve lower mortality and morbidity rates for the citizens we serve," said VMSC CEO Shane Wheeler. "We are thankful to receive this support from the Montgomery Township Board of Supervisors, and we look forward to continuing to provide excellent clinical care for the residents of Montgomery Township and surrounding areas."
VMSC is a regional nonprofit EMS provider based in southeastern Pennsylvania. VMSC currently provides EMS to ten North Penn and Indian Valley municipalities and operates an inter-facility medical transport service for area hospitals, canine search and rescue, drone, and tactical medic teams.
"The Board of Supervisors is pleased to support VMSC with this municipal contribution," said Candyce Fluehr Chimera, Chairwoman of the Montgomery Township Board of Supervisors. "We are fortunate to have this organization as an integral part of emergency services in our community, providing the highest quality of care to those who need them and ensuring the continued health and welfare of our residents.
