Sources tell North Penn Now the incident involves a suicidal male subject believed to be in possession of a firearm. It’s unclear what time the incident began, however the scene is currently active and a medevac helicopter — heard by this news organization — recently landed in the area of Church and Becker roads.
When reached for comment, Upper Gwynedd Police Chief David Duffy declined to confirm those details, but urged residents to avoid the area.
Montgomery County Department of Public Safety shows a special fire service was called for at 5:30 p.m. to assist with the helicopter landing. Units from Upper Gwynedd Fire Department were dispatched to assist with the landing.
