North Penn School District Bringing School Board Meetings to the Community

North Penn School District (NPSD) is moving action meetings of the North Penn Board of School Directors to local municipal buildings in an effort to encourage community attendance and participation. For the 2022-2023 school year, the action meetings of the full board will travel between township buildings of the district boundaries to provide easy access for all community members to attend meetings in-person.

The meeting schedule for the 2022-2023 school year is as follows:

  • Thursday, Oct. 20, 7 p.m., Montgomery Township Building (1011 Stump Road, Montgomeryville)
  • Thursday, Nov. 17, 7 p.m., Hatfield Township Building (1950 School Road, Hatfield)
  • Thursday, Jan. 19, 7 p.m., Lansdale Borough Building (1 Vine Street, Lansdale)
  • Thursday, Feb. 16, 7 p.m., Upper Gwynedd Township Building (1 Parkside Place, North Wales)
  • Thursday, March 16, 7 p.m., Towamencin Township Building (1090 Troxel Road, Lansdale)

“Community involvement is essential to any school district and board,” said Superintendent Dr. Todd Bauer. “NPSD covers 42 square miles, and travel to in-person meetings can often be a hindrance to public participation, so we hope to alleviate that this year.”

All NPSD school board meetings are streamed live on North Penn Television (NPTV) and replays can be found on the NPTV YouTube page. NPTV is streamed live on local Comcast channel 29, Verizon channel 29, northpennnews.org, YouTube, as well as NPTV apps on Roku, Fire TV, and Apple TV.
