With Labor Day behind us, kids back in school, and road work being completed, we are, no matter what the calendar says, entering the fall season. This means we are getting into one of the busiest times of the year for the borough. In the fall there are, frankly, just more people in town on the weekends and people are looking for activities to keep themselves busy for the last few weeks before it becomes too cold. So, naturally every event is well attended, roads are busier than ever, and we’ll need to be a little more patient with one another as life gets a little more hectic.
Over the fall months we have several major events happening in the borough:
The second to last one is a new development for Lansdale. Over the past several months the owners of Well Crafted and Imprint Brewing have been working with myself, borough staff, and council to figure out how to bring a collaboration beer garden to life in our community.
This first attempt, Well Crafted and Imprint will be in White’s Road Park from noon to 6 p.m. on the dates listed above with entertainment and fall fun for people looking to enjoy a beer and some beautiful weather in the park. If this venture is successful, I have no doubt that it will be brought back and expanded to bring the joys of fall weather and fall beers (personally, my favorite beer selection) to Lansdale.
No matter what event you are attending this fall, and hopefully it is all of them, please keep in mind that everyone is trying to have a safe and fun celebration of the last few months without snow. Remember that no alcohol is allowed outside the marked areas for events (this includes Bike Night despite Main St. being closed off), please do not drink and drive, and please pick up any trash you may generate to help keep the community clean. A little bit of self-management by all of us goes a long way in helping our community look its best throughout the fall season.
Lansdale is one of the busiest communities in the North Penn area precisely because we host so many great events that cater to so many different diverse groups and families. Frankly, Lansdale loves to be a community where we are constantly in motion and celebrating all that makes our borough a fantastic place to live, work, and play. This fall we will bring all that positivity to life, and I look forward to seeing you all out and about as temperatures finally begin to cool down.
