Lansdale Police Release Details of Weekend Robbery of 7-Eleven on West Main Street

Lansdale Borough Police are seeking public assistance in identifying and locating two suspects involved in the weekend robbery of 7-Eleven on West Main Street.

Police said they responded to the 600 block of West Main Street at 3:40 a.m. on Sept. 3 for a report of a hold-up alarm. Arriving officers spoke with a store employee and determined two males wearing face masks entered the store, and one suspect used a sledgehammer to break into the gambling machines to steal the cash from inside.

Both men then fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lansdale Police Detective Joseph Gary at 267-642-9422. Tips can also be emailed anonymously to [email protected].

Earlier on Tuesday, Towamencin Township Police Chief Tim Troxel confirmed to North Penn Now that a very similar robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven on Allentown Road during the early morning hours of Sept. 6. In that case, two masked suspects entered the store, smashed the gambling machines and then fled the scene with the cash boxes from the machines.
