Hatfield Township Police are seeking public assistance in their investigation into a fatal hit and run crash that occurred near Oak Park and Koffel roads last Thursday afternoon.
Police were initially dispatched to the scene at 3:13 p.m. for a report of a medical emergency. Arriving officers located an 83-year-old male lying unresponsive on the ground after being struck by a vehicle, and he was subsequently transported to Lansdale Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators are asking any residents in the area with a doorbell camera or surveillance system to contact them to assist with the investigation. Additionally, anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to come forward.
Police have not released the identity of the victim and stated no additional information will be released at this time.
