Local Authors to Debut New Book ‘The GNATURAL’ with Reading at Lansdale Library on Saturday

Bryce Harper is going to the Major League Baseball World Series, and Bryce Hopper is going to the Major League Bugball World Series in the new children’s sports story The GNATURAL.

Longtime Lansdale residents and authors, Mark Bryson and his son, Ryan, will be having their first book reading in their series of sports books about bugs this Saturday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. at the Lansdale Library. The GNATURAL is the story of the smallest bug, with the strongest arm, and the biggest dream to play Major League Bugball with his best buddy, Bryce Hopper.

The baseball bug book also features Hall of Fame characters Orlando Cicada, Sandflea Koufax, Harmon Killerbee and Ken Grifflea Jr., as well as local legends like Mite Schmidt and Bug McGraw. The story comes to an end with RoyHopps facing his best friend…in the World Series.

Author Mark Bryson has six children and has affectionately been called “Coach Mark” for over 20 years by local kids with the Cannoneers, Lansdale Little League, Lansdale Parks and Recreation Tee Ball, North Penn Valley Girls Softball, the Boys and Girls Club, the YMCA, TYA soccer, BuxMont Indoor Sports, Play and Learn daycare and All-Star Sluggers.

Mark has also had the privilege of working with sports management and marketing’s brightest leaders for over 25 years as Head Coach at Major League Baseball’s All-Star FanFest, as Zone Manager at NBA JamSession and the NCAA Final Four, coach at NHL Fantasy and as a coordinator at the NHL Winter Classic.

Ryan Bryson is a York Avenue, Penndale and North Penn High School graduate. He has lived in Lansdale his whole life but wants to share his sports stories with children around the world.

Ryan graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in creative writing.

Join Mark and Ryan for Fall Classic fun and celebrate the Phillies World Series run! They will be reading their book, answering questions, asking baseball trivia, playing games, and giving away prizes. Wear your favorite Phillies tee or MLB jersey this Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Lansdale Library.
