The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office has released new information regarding the disappearance of a Sellersville woman who hasn’t been seen in more than two weeks.
Perkasie Borough Police initially issued a release on Oct. 14 seeking public assistance in locating 55-year-old Elizabeth “Beth” Capaldi. According to police, Capaldi was last seen at her home in Sellersville during the morning of Monday, Oct. 10.
No additional information was provided regarding Capaldi’s disappearance at that time.
On Wednesday afternoon, Bucks County District Attorney Matthew Weintraub held a press conference to address Capaldi’s disappearance, as well as release new details from the investigation and renew the call for public assistance.
Weintraub said Capaldi worked from the home she shared with her husband, Stephen, and was not known to travel outside of the local area alone. Capaldi was officially reported missing by her daughter on Oct. 12, and Weintraub said the husband was the last person to see her during the morning of Oct. 10.
When asked why the daughter filed the report instead of the husband, Weintraub could not provide an answer but later added investigators had spoken with the husband. Though she’s believed to have taken her wallet with her, Capaldi’s phone, keys and vehicle were all left behind, Weintraub said.
Officials would not speculate if foul play is suspected.
“We are not ruling anything out at this time,” Weintraub said, later adding, “Someone out there definitely knows something,”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Anthony Gro at 215-257-6876. Tips can also be submitted here.
“We continue to hold out hope that we can find Beth and reunite her with her family,” Weintraub said.
