Lunch and dinner options in the North Penn area just got better, especially for lovers of cheesesteaks and hoagies.
Jersey Mike’s Subs – a “fast-casual” sub sandwich franchise that has more than 2,000 locations nationwide – adds another franchise to the list, which opened Wednesday in Hatfield Township at 500 Forty Foot at Clemens Road, next to Dunkin’ and across from The Shoppes at Hatfield Pointe.
Hatfield Township Commissioners and Jersey Mike’s Subs Hatfield staff took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday morning.
“As we welcome and celebrate this new option for a sandwich, let us all never forget and regularly patronize the locally owned Hatfield staples such as Vinny's Pizzarama, Ralph’s Corner Diner, Casey's Saloon & Eatery, Trolley Stop Deli, Hatfield Pizzeria, 309 Deli, Tigers Family Restaurant, Goombas pizzaria and more,” wrote Hatfield Township on its Facebook post on the ribbon cutting. “A rising tide lifts all ships. And maybe a few higher end restaurants will start noticing Hatfield and our appetite for more dining options.”
Furthermore, Jersey Mike’s Subs has chosen to support Pennfield Middle School Home & School with a Make A Difference coupon promotion between now and Oct. 28. Get the coupons on Hatfield Township’s Facebook page here.
For each coupon redeemed, the business will donate $1 to Pennfield.
Its menu options include meals, cold subs, hot subs and cheesesteaks, kid’s meals, sides, drinks and desserts.
According to its Facebook, Jersey Mike’s Subs, which has 66 locations in Pennsylvania, including Blue Bell, was founded in 1956 at the Jersey shore and serves made-to-order “authentic East Coast-style subs on fresh baked bread.”
Hatfield Township’s Facebook post was full of followers and residents welcoming the sub shop to the community.
“I’d love to see more higher end options for dining in Hatfield. It would be great not having to travel to KOP for those options! Welcome Jersey Mike’s to Hatfield!” wrote Andrea Logan-Caron.
“I stopped by to pick up a couple of sandwiches,” wrote Julie Hart. “They were great, and their cherry pepper relish spread is delicious. Best Italian hoagie I had in a few years.”
