Hatfield-based Imprint Beer Company has announced the release of a limited run of a special light lager just in time for the Phillies playoff series against the San Diego Padres.
Dubbed the “Philsner,” the brew is a 4.3% light lager that is lightly hopped with German hops on a German malt base, along with Imprint’s house lager yeast. The can art, like most of Imprint’s offerings, was provided by Colin Shawcross aka “nonheinous.”
“We’re huge Philly sports fans, we’ve been watching the Phils on the big screens in the brewery all season,” said Ryan Diehl, co-owner of Imprint Beer Co.
Available in cans only, Philsner can be purchased only at their Hatfield brewery, located at 1500 Industry Road, Suite R.
For those whose fanhood lends itself more to football, Diehl said Imprint’s Eagles beer, “Gang Green,” will return next week. The first batch of Gang Green sold out in under a week in September, Diehl said.
