Two Teens Killed in Double Homicide in Montco Monday Night

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office has announced an investigation into a double homicide that occurred in Pottstown late Monday night.

County dispatch received multiple 9-1-1 calls at 11:33 p.m. regarding shots fired in the area of Fourth and Johnson streets. Arriving police located the bodies of a 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old male lying outside of a vehicle belonging to one of the victims.

Investigators said they recovered 10 shell casings, one projectile and a 9mm handgun with the serial number obliterated at the scene.

The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Autopsies have been scheduled for Tuesday morning, investigators said.
