An electronics recycling event will be hosted by North Penn
High School's ENACT Club on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the
parking lot of North Penn High at 1340 S. Valley Forge Road in Lansdale.
Visitors are asked to use the Valley Forge Road entrance to the lot.
Most items will be recycled free, including laptops, cellphones and tablets,
computers and peripherals, speakers and disc players.
Items with a recycling fee include: older tube TVs and monitors, $25-$75 depending
on size; flat-screen TVs, $20; flat-screen computer monitors, $5; air
conditioners, dehumidifiers and air purifiers, $20; and microwave ovens, $10.
No large appliances will be accepted.
ENACT is a North Penn High School club that promotes community environmental
stewardship. PAR Recycle Works is a nonprofit recycler that provides
transitional employment to people returning from prison.
