Towamencin’s Drelick Family to Continue Run on Family Feud Monday Night

The Drelick Family of Dutchmans Circle in Towamencin Township is nationally known for its annual Christmas lights spectacle. Now, they are in the national spotlight again – and $20,000 richer.

Joseph and Tracey Drelick, along with their children Jake, a former North Penn Knights Baseball standout catcher, and Jordynn and maternal matriarch Deb, hit the big prize Thursday on their second day on The CW’s “Family Feud” game show, beating out the Herbert Family and winning $20,000 in the final “Fast Money” round.

Deb and Tracey each garnered 151 points and 89 points in “Fast Money,” for a whopping 240 points. Contestants need 200 points to win the $20,000 prize.

The Drelicks halted the four-game winning streak of the Ford Family from Detroit on Wednesday but failed to win the $20,000 prize in their first appearance in the “Fast Money” showdown, with Tracey getting 155 points and Jake getting 29 points, falling just 16 points shy of 200.

The family returned for a third appearance on the show Friday and won again, leading to a fourth episode scheduled for Monday night.

According to The Cold Wire, “Family Feud” contestants must wait at least 90 days to get their money, and even then, the taxable $20,000 prize is split evenly between all five players at a little under $4,000 after taxes.
