Green Lane Park Announces November Educational Programs

Montgomery County’s Green Lane Park will host two educational programs in November.

Holiday Craft Workshop

Saturday, Nov. 19, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Participants can choose from several craft projects including a holiday centerpiece, pinecone wreath, wall hanging and many more. All crafts will be made with natural objects including evergreen cones, nuts, and seed pods all provided by park staff.

No previous crafting experience necessary, our expert instructors will help you create a work of art. Participants can bring a hot glue gun or borrow one. There is a $10 materials fee for each workshop, and pre-registration is required. For safety reasons, these programs are for ages 12 to adult only. Spaces are limited, call (215) 234-4528 to reserve your spot. Please specify which time slot you prefer.

Waterfowl Watch

Saturday, Nov. 26, at 1 p.m.

Green Lane Park is one of eastern Pennsylvania’s top birding destinations. We will travel by car to three different birding hotspots within Green Lane Park in search of ducks, geese, swans, and other migratory birds. Bring binoculars and meet at tennis court parking lot located at 2298 Green Lane Road, Green Lane PA 18054. This program is free, but pre-registration is required for those ages 12 to adult. Call (215) 234-4528 to reserve your spot.
