Police Release ID of Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Bethlehem Pike, Investigation Ongoing

Hatfield Township Police have identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed earlier this month while trying to cross Bethlehem Pike.

Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Bethlehem Pike at 8:48 p.m. on May 6 for a report of a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian that had been struck. Upon arrival, police located a male victim who had been struck by a Honda CRV.

In response to a follow up email from North Penn Now, police identified the victim as 63-year-old David Marso, of Colmar.

A preliminary investigation showed the Honda was traveling southbound on Bethlehem Pike in the left lane when it struck Marso, who was attempting to cross the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said there were no further details to be released at the time of our follow up.
