It’s been another successful trip around the sun for Lansdale’s Margaret ‘Peg’ Leichthammer, who turned 106 last Wednesday.
A resident of Elm Terrace Gardens, located at the intersection of West Seventh and North Broad streets, Leichthammer celebrated her milestone birthday with a small gathering of family and friends on Wednesday afternoon. By comparison to last year’s celebration, which was outdoors and included a parade of first responders and a proclamation from Lansdale Mayor Garry Herbert, the 106th celebration was a bit more subdued and intimate – though no less meaningful.
North Penn Now would like to wish Peg a happy and healthy 106th birthday, and we’re looking forward to touching base around this time next year as she turns 107!
