The North Penn School District Board of Directors has begun its search for the district’s next Superintendent of Schools. To assist in the search, the board has retained the services of Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA), a consulting firm that specializes in assisting school boards in identifying and recruiting executive-level educational leaders.

The search will occur in four phases: engagement, recruitment, selection, and transition. The engagement phase will consist of designing and planning a process of engaging the board and stakeholders through interviews, online surveys, and focus groups. Information from these interactions will assist the board in developing a leadership profile and selection criterion that match the priorities of the community, as well as meeting the unique needs of the students in the North Penn School District.

In part of the search, HYA has created a community stakeholder survey. The survey will close on Friday, April 1 at 11:59 p.m. and can be found here.

The current superintendent, Dr. Curtis R. Dietrich, announced his retirement on Feb. 15 after serving as superintendent for the North Penn School District for the last 12-plus years. His retirement is effective June 30, 2022, at the conclusion of his current contract.
