Police Seek ID of Man Who Failed to Return Dropped Money at Dollar Tree

Hilltown Township Police are seeking public assistance in identifying a man who failed to return money that a customer had dropped inside of the Dollar Tree store at the County Line Plaza Shopping Center.

Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Route 113 on Feb. 5 to investigate a theft. Investigators learned that a customer unknowingly dropped $80 onto the ground, and an unknown suspect picked up the money and made no effort to determine who dropped the money or return it to store employees.

The suspect then used the found money to complete his purchase and left the store, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hilltown Township Police Department at 215-453-6000. Tips can also be sent electronically and anonymously here.
